Spine Disorders
The cervical and lumbar spines account for the majority of spine issues seen in athletes of all ages. If not diagnosed quickly and treated appropriately, fractures of the cervical spine (the neck) can lead to paralysis or even death. Dr. Wagner’s vast experience and high level of training give him the expertise to properly diagnose and treat these potentially life-threatening injuries.
Commonly treated injuries include:
- Disk herniation
- Facet arthropathy
- Fractures
- Mechanical low back pain
- Degenerative disc disease
- Spinal stenosis
- Foraminal stenosis
Complicated injuries to the cervical and lumbar spine may require MRI imaging and perhaps a referral to a spine surgeon, depending on the severity of the injury. Due to his extensive time in the field, Dr. Wagner has developed long-standing relationships with the top specialists in the area. This allows him the ability to facilitate prompt consultation and treatment, most times same day, for his patients should a referral be necessary.
