Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
What is musculoskeletal ultrasound? Ultrasound is a unique and valuable tool for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. Ultrasound is non-invasive and painless. It uses soundwaves to produce images of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints for optimal diagnosis of sprains, strains, muscle, tendon or ligament tears, and arthritis. Ultrasound is very safe, never exposing the patient to radiation.
Through the use of ultrasound, Dr. Wagner is able to view the tissue and accurately guide injection treatments as needed. Ultrasound is one more step that can be utilized in the office to enhance the quality of care for our patients at Seattle Sports and Regenerative Medicine.
At Seattle Sports and Regenerative Medicine, we frequently use ultrasound for:
- Joint injections
- Bursa injections
- Cyst aspirations
- Tendon injuries
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
- Stem cell therapy
